This is a bare minimum DS18B20 based temperature sensor node.

It is intended to be as small as possible, with really long battery life. The ATmega328P is powered directly from the battery, but the nRF24L01+ and DS18B20(s) are powered through an efficient XC6206 3.3v LDO regulator (U2). The battery can be 3x AA/AAA, or a LiPo/Li-ion cell (i.e. 18650).

This uses the SMD version of the nRF24L01+ module.

All resistors/capacitors are 0805 sized with the following values:

  • R1 - 4.7kOhm
  • C1,C2 - 4.7uF - 10uF
  • C3,C4 - 100nF

The ATmega328P MCU needs to be programmed before being soldered, so the MYSBootloader is recommended.
